I setup a user with a PS2 to USB adapter for both the mouse and keyboard but left the mouse end unplugged. Later the user calls back stating that a live wire is on her desk. I tried to explain that the wire was not any danger but she insisted I wrap the end with electrical tape to prevent her from being electrocuted. I gave in and wrapped the end really good.

A certain department had on old but fully functional printer they just did not want anymore. They of course wanted the new model they had seen in other departments. the users try getting a new printer by putting objects in old printer and placing a call to the help desk. I show up and can't find what is wrong with the printer it just keeps jamming. After taking the printer apart several small plastic tabs from the toner cart. are found. I get the printer working again only to have to return to for the same problem 3 more times. I never did give them the satisfaction of a new printer. They should have just asked.

"Power User" tries fixing pc his own pc. By the time the tech got there the user had his head buried in the PC case with parts all over his desk. When the tech tried to restore the PC to it's orginal working order he found the user had bent half the pins on the CPU. Needless to say this user was no power user.

User tries installing Office on bosses PC by unknowingly using son’s pirated version of Windows. User ends up formatting the PC.

User states that her monitor just stopped working. It was not until I pointed out the plant above the monitor that she admited to watering the plant.
